FAQs

How long will my bike take?

It will take as long as it takes. 9 times out of 10, the motorcycles that come through our shop need something additional to what they actually came in for. This is the nature of vintage motorcycles - until we get into it, we can never truly tell exactly what is required.

We like to be thorough with the work we do. That means, a lot of the time, it makes more sense for us to fully redo a part, rather than just a band-aid fix. Which ultimately means the job takes longer.

What will it cost?

We charge by quarter, half, or full day rates. Our full day rate is $1210 (inc. GST).

Cool ain't cheap. Cheap ain't cool.

Our minimum charge is a quarter of a day.

If we've provided you with an estimate up front, then we will absolutely do our best to stick to that estimate, because we hate 'bill shock' too! But... see above ;)

Will you call me when it’s ready?

Yes. We will call you when your bike is ready, or if there is a significant progress update we need or want to give you. Don't chase us. If you haven't heard from us, it means we are still progressing with your bike. And no, we haven't forgotten about it! Don't call us, we'll call you.

If you want to get an update from us, send us an email and we'll get back to you in a timely manner with where we're up to.

Can you give me a timeframe for when it will be ready?

See above ;)

However, we don't want your bike hanging around collecting dust. We are always progressing with all of the motorcycles we have in the shop. So rest assured, we are progressing with yours too!

Can I bring you the parts I already bought?

Yes and no. We've spent many years trying and testing different parts from different suppliers and manufacturers. Plus, where it makes sense, we'll fabricate our own parts for your bike, which makes it that much more unique. That doesn't mean we're not open to new things, but if you bring us a part we're not familiar with, then a) it takes us longer to fit it, and b) we take no responsibility if it doesn't work. So no, we'd prefer to supply the parts we're fitting to your motorcycle.

Why do you operate this way?

Because we love vintage motorcycles, we're passionate about the work we do, and we want your ride to be as reliable as possible - so you can get out and enjoy it more!
